Font Poster - Letter Gothic

This is a course project for exploring the history of letterform. The type face that I chose was Letter Gothic, which is a sans-serif typeface created by Roger Robinson between 1956 and 1962. It originally were created for standard use for IBM. I tried to keep this poster simple to show the original simple and standard style.

The design started with three different trials of mine. First one basically want to show the original style of posters during 1950s, and the second one is to keep the old poster style while the trying of simple style. The final one, which was my final choice, was mainly focused on the typeface itself. I wanted to catch the feature of the typeface itself and catch the beauty of the typeface. Although Letter Gothic was not a modern or stylistic font, I did have its personality which is simple and standard.
